Well after a leg unjury and then a month away and week of beer I’m finally back trying to get my ass fit again. We have the last rugby match of the season this weekend, THE PRESIDENTS game. The first 15 play against a Presidents select team from anywhere. This will be the first one I’ve made it to and it’s going to hurt something cronic. It clashes with my May week holiday but we’re not going away until Monday instead of Friday night.
I’ve riden to work twice so far this week, 12Km/8miles in about 35 mins get there red faced and seriously sweaty. Maybe a short run on Thursday night to get some sprint practice in, mind you a transit van coming at you from nowhere gets the bike moving quite quickly.
Back to normal in work the usual ups and downs but settling back into it.
I’m finding it really hard to talk to people about the GSE trip. Specific questions I can answer but the “So How was it?” Is a bugger. How do you describe 4 weeks in 5 mins????

Nice to know things are getting back to normal somewhat, I imagine the same is true for all of you. I can’t imagine being away from my life and work for 4 weeks and then trying to return to it, must be strange, but life is an adventure so if given the chance I would do the same.
Well good luck with rugby. And I am sure over time you will all come up with your stock answer to “So How was it”, and whatever you come up with won’t quite cover it but it will satisfy people.

It took me MONTHS to be able to describe our GSE trip. For a long time, the answers were always one word answers … usually the word was “amazing.”
best always
